Miss Meree Elaine Dempsey Wed To Mr. Arthur E. Morehead III Hag 4U, THE TIMKS AND DEMOCRAT, Omngcburg. S. Sunday, March 2, 1964 Miss Margaret Keys Moore Becomes Bride Of Mr.

Cecil Wayne Bell School. She Rosarian Academy, West Palm Beach, Florida, and Limestone College, Gaffney, S.C. In December, 1966, the bride made her debut at the Orangeburg Assembly, Orangeburg, S.C. For the past year she has been a stewardess with United Air Lines, stationed in New York City. The groom is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Robert Larry Bell of Greenwood, S.C. He is a graduate of Greenwood High School and Clemson University where he was a member of the Tiger Football team and Numeral Society Fraternity. He received his B.S. degree in Industrial Management In May, 1968, and is currently stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C.

as a training officer in Artillery. After a wedding trip the couple will reside at Columbia Gardens, Columbia, S.C. Miss Pekkola, Sgt. Dursse Are Married Mr. and Mrs.

Izar Pekkola of Helsinki, Finland, announce the marriage of their daughter, Annell Marjatta on Friday, February 21, 1969, at 12:30 p.m. to Sergeant Sydney Augustine Dursse III of Springfield, S.C. The wedding took place In Helsinki, Finland, with relatives and close friends attending. Mrs. Dursse graduated from Tyttouror Im-aalilysco, a girls' school in Finland.

She attended the University of Helsinki, Finland, the University of Madrid and Grenada, Spain, and the University of Vienna, Austria. She has been employed as a tourist guide in Spain. Sgt. Dursse, formerly of Edisto Island, S.C, is the son of Mrs. Edwin F.

Burgdorf and the late Sydney A. Dursse Jr. He graduated from the Springfield High School and is also a graduate of Wofford College, Spartanburg, S.C. wedding the bride's parents entertained with a reception in Davis Hall which was beautifully decorated with pink and white flowers and palms. Silver candelabra and silver punch bowls surrounded by greenery graced the refreshment table which was centered by an epergne of mixed pink and red flowers.

The bride's table was covered with a lovely Army Navy cloth of linen and lace. It was centered with a five tiered wedding cake. For her wedding trip the bride chose an aqua silk coat and dress ensemble with a hat of mixed flowers and black patent accessories. She lifted the rose corsage from her bouquet. The bride and groom will reside at 1126 Lakeview Drive in Columbia after a wedding trip to Nassau.

Morehead Jr. served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Frank Dempsey of Great Falls, brother of the bride, Mr. Craig Morehead, brother of the groom, Mr.

George Moore, Mr. Neal W. Dlckert, Mr. Thomas H. Pope III, Mr.

Robert C. Oxner of Newberry, Mr. William Henry Williams and Mr. James E. Truesdale Jr of Columbia, Mr.

Ervin S. Swearingen of Florence, brother-in-law of the groom and U. Richard Paul Padgett of Killeen, Texas. Masters Worth Swearingen of Florence, son of Mr. and Mrs.

E.S. Swearingen and the nephew of the groom, and George Carson son of Mr. and Mrs. George Carson and cousin of the bride served as ring bearers. Immediately following the Miss Sheryl Ann Simmen, Mr.

Crum Exchange Vows Austin-Dantzler Vows Said and Mrs. Willie Hutto Dant- zler of Cameron. The bride-elect was graduated from Cameron High School and received a B.S. degree in special education from Winthrop College in December. She is presently teaching in Anderson.

Mr. Dantzler was graduated from Cameron High School and is a senior at Clemson University. He will receive a B.S. degree in pre-medicine in May. The wedding is planned for June 1 in the Cameron Methodist Church.

Limehouse Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Walker Limehouse announce the engagement of their daughter, Chris, to James Franklin Walsh son of Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Walsh.

Miss Limehouse is a graduate of Orangeburg High School and is a Senior at Queens College. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority and was presented at the Orangeburg Assembly in 1966. Mr. Walsh is a graduate of North High School and the University of South Carolina where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He now attends Law School at the University of South Carolina.

The wedding will take place June 7. Miss Towers, Mr. Morehead Exchange Vows Miss Belle Evelyne Towers became the bride of Robert Barry Morehead Saturday afternoon, February 8, at 2 o'clock at the Kirby Memorial Baptist Church, Gaffney, S.C. The Rev. R.B.

Morehead, father of the groom officiated at the double ring ceremony. A program of nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Margaret White and soloist was the Rev. Forrest Jackson. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was a picture of loveliness in her satin sheath gown with chantilly lace that swept to a watteau chapel train, accented with a looped bow.

Tiny pearls outlined the oval neckline and long tapered sleeves. Matron of Honor was Mrs. Lloyd Briggs and bridesmaid was Mrs. James M. Brown Jr.

Mr. Scott Lee Harmon served as best man. Usher-groomsmen were Mr. James M. Brown Jr.

and Mr. Billy L. Painter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Charles E. Towers of Mansfield, La. She is a graduate of Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, Tenn. The groom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs.

Robert B. Morehead of Gaffney, S.C. He is formerly of Norway, S.C. He attended North Greenville Junior College and Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, Tenn. The groom's father, the Rev.

R.B. Morehead was pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Rt. 2, Nesses, S.C., for five years (1962-1967). The First Baptist of Orangeburg was the scene of a lovely wedding of wide in-, terest at 6 o'clock March 1, when Miss Meree Elaine Dempsey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Benjamin Franklin Dempsey of Orangeburg became the bride of Arthur Eugene Morehead III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Eugene Morehead Jr. of Newberry. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev.

Lester P. Branham Jr. of Orangeburg and the Rev. E. Gerald Ernst of Sumter.

The church was beautifully decorated with arrangements of white and pink mixed flowers and palms with brass candelabra. The nuptial music was presented by Mr. David Redd, organist, and the Handbell Choir of the First Baptist Church. The pre-service music by the Handbell Choir was "0 Perfect Love" by Barnby and "The Lord Is My Shepherd" by Crimond which was followed by the processional "Trumpet Tune" by Purcell. Mrs.

Jack Blanton, soloist, sang as the closing prayer, "Eternal Life Prayer of St. Francis of Ac-cissi" by Dunzan which was followed by the traditional "Wedding March" by Mendelssohn. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in a formal wedding gown of candlelight silk Peau-de-Soie and imported Alencon lace. The empire bodice was of Alencon lace over silk Peau-de-Soie featuring short sleeves and a scalloped neckline with a controlled A-line skirt of Peau-de-Soie bordered at the hemline with Alencon lace. Her mantilla veil of imported bridal illusion bordered in matching Alencon lace fell gracefully to form a chapel train.

Her bouquet was white roses, orchids and lillies of the valley. She carried an heirloom handkerchief belonging to the groom's grandmother. Mrs. Jimmy Harrison of Columbia served as matron of honor and Miss Dianne Wannamaker served as maid of honor. Both are cousins of the bride.

Serving as bridesmaids were Mrs. D.T. Wannamaker III, Miss Candi Council, Miss Elaine Horger of Orangeburg, Mrs. Ervin S. Swearingen of Florence, sister of the groom, Mrs.

Bill Burkhalter of Columbia and Mrs. Joseph Traywick of Spartanburg. Miss Rebecca Duffie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil W.

Duffie Jr. of Columbia served as flower girl. Mr. Arthur Eugene Miss Margaret keys Moore became the bride of Cecil Wayne Bell Saturday evening, March 1, at 7 o'clock at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Orangeburg.

Father Clement Tackney officiated at the double ring ceremony In a setting of palms and candelabra bearing lighted cathedral tapers. Altar Boys assisting were Frederick and John Tecklenburg of Orangeburg. A program of nuptial music was presented by Mrs. Wendall Jordan, organist. Soloists were Mrs.

Henry Tecklenburg of Orangeburg and Mr. James Thomas of Florence, S.C. Mrs. Tecklenburg sang Gounod's "Ave Maria" and Mr. Thomas sang "The Lord's Prayer" by Albert Hay Malotte.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was a picture of loveliness wearing her mother's wedding gown of imported ivory satin, fashioned with a tiny collar of imported Rosepoint lace, satin covered buttons down the front of the bodice and long sleeves ending with a soft ruffle of Rosepoint lace over the hands. The graceful skirt was enhanced with a draping in front, forming a bustle in the back and extending in a full cathedral train. She wore a full length imported mantilla of illusion and reem-broidered lace. She carried an old fashioned bouquet of calla lillies. Maid of Honor was Miss Peggy Martin Pugh and Matron of Honor was Mrs.

Robert Chambers Dukes both of Columbia, S.C. Bridesmaids were Miss Sandra Ruth Shearon, Charlotte, N.C., Miss Kathleen Marie Sheehan, Palm Beach, Mrs. Gerald Holley, Florence, S.C, Miss Margaret Mae Norton, Hamilton, Ohio, Miss Margaret Eugenia Dukes and Miss Coryn Grace Felder, cousin of the bride, both of Orangeburg. Flower Girl was Miss Jo Marie Bryan, Abbeville, S.C. Ring Bearer was Master Richard Osborne of Orangeburg.

Mr. Robert Larry Bell of Greenwood served as his son's best man. Usher-groomsmen were Mr. Randall Larry Bell, brother of the groom, Mr. Bruce McKeller Greenwood, Mr.

Curtis HgStoeH, Sumter, Mr. Robert Calhoun, Clio, Mr. Aubrey Jay Gore, Conway, Mr. James William Engram, Columbia, Mr. Elliott Darby Moore Mr.

Marion Felder Moore, Mr. William Thomson Moore, brothers of the bride, and Mr. Edgar Cason McGee, all of Orangeburg. Immediately following the ceremony the bride's parents entertained at a reception at the Orangeburg Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Elliott Darby Moore of Orangeburg. She is a graduate of Orangeburg High and Miss Mary Colleen McLaughlin of Harrlsburg, Pa. Mr. Wesley Bowman Crum was his son's best man.

Groomsmen were James Orrin Crum, brother of the groom; Robert Gottfried Simmen, brother of the bride; James Gustave Speth Jr. of Orangeburg and North Guilford, and Jay Richardson of West Grove, Pa. Acolyte was William Scott Simmen, brother of the bride. Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained with a reception at the Phoenxville Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Gottfried Fred Simmen of Wayne, and is a senior at Lock Haven College. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Bowman Crum of Orangeburg.

He was graduated from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina, and is now with the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. After a wedding trip the couple will reside in Newton Square, Pa. Wiles Wed bride's only brother, William Jones. The Rev. Hollis McFarlin, pastor of the bride, performed the impressive double ring ceremony, with the couple kneeling for the benediction in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Frank McGee was organist and Mrs. Ernest Smith was the soloist. Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained with a reception at the Norway Community House. The bride's' sister, Miss Patricia Jones, kept the register and four of Linda's friends and cousins served.

Linda is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jones. SHOPPING CENTER wot PRIM Miss Sheryl Ann Simmen became the bride of Wesley Bowman Crum Jr at 5 o'clock Saturday, February 22, in St. Matthews Methodist Church, Wayne, Pa.

The Rev. Dr. B. Burns Brodhead assisted by the Rev. Menno E.

Good, performed the double ring ceremony. The program of traditional wedding music was presented by the organist, Mrs. Alfred DeCurtis and soloist, Mr. Thomas Anthony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of satin and Alencon lace.

The detachable chapel train which fell from an empire waistline, was edged and appliqued with Alencon lace. Her full-length silk illusion veil was attached to a crown of Alencon lace encrusted with seed pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of sweetheart roses, stephanotis and carnations. The bride's sister, Miss Patricia Louise Simmen, was maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Miss Mary Jeanette Traster and Miss Judith Ann Spaans of Wayne, Miss Carroll Jean Ickes, New Cumberland, Miss Jones, Mr.

Miss Linda Jones lovely wedding to Mr. Stephan Wiles of took place on February 16, in the afternoon. Given in marriage by her father, Mr. Henry Jones, the bride was radiant wearing a most gorgeous floor length wedding gown of white lace over bridal satin with a chapel train, long sleeves ending in a point at the wrist, scallop square neckline, and a bow in the back. Overshirt of lace with scallop trim and at a point in the yoke was an A-line shaped of pla'n satin to the hem of her dress, giving the front lace a cape-like affect.

Her illusion veil of shoulder length was attached to a tira of pearls. She carried a white Bible topped with a bouquet of white feathered carnations and lillies of the valley, centered with a white orchid and showered with white ribbon streamers. He did further studies at the University of Virginia and the University of South Carolina. For the past 18 months he has been on duty with the U.S.

Army, serving in the provost marshal! office of the 503 M.P. Company in Frankfurt, Germany. After completion of his tour of duty with the Army in May, 1969, the couple expect to return to Springfield, S.C. in June. Ffi 39 yd- 69c yd.
