on Friday, June 17, at 7:30 o'clock in the Walnut Grove Baptist church in Bowman. The impressive double ring performed by, the ceremony bride's pastor, Rev. Luther Caldwell, Palms, caladiums, baskets of white gladioli and snapdragons, fern entwined in a white latticed arch and four branched candelabra were used in effectively Mrs. Gladys decorating the Harrison, church. or- ganist, and Mr.

G. B. Patrick soloist, rendered a program of nuptial music. Prior to the ceremony Mrs. Harrison, (Chopin) played Prelude, D'Amour" Op.

28 (Elgar) and Mr. Patrick sang "Because" (D'Hardelot) and "The Sweetest Story Ever Told." (Stults). During the ceremony Mrs. Harrison softly rendered "To A Wild Rose" (McDowell) and Mr. Patrick sang Us, Holy as a benedictoin, traditional wedding marches were used for the processional and the recessional.

The bride, an attractive brunett, entered on the arm of her father, Farmer Daniel Bell, by whom she was given in marriage. She looked lovely in her wedding gown of ivory slipper satin fashioned with a long fitted bodice, with a bertha of satin folds outlining the neckline. long fitted sleeves ending in calla lily points over the wrists. button down the back with self covered buttons with a bustle effect ending in a lone train. Her fingertip veil of ivory, bridal illusion was caught to a net of seeded pearie and blossoms.

She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of tube brides roses centered white purple throated Her ornaments, were strand of pearls, gift groom, and she carried handkerchief which belonged the groom's aunt. Miss L. V. Bell. of Bowman, only sister of the bride, was maid-of-honor.

Mrs. Geddings Rickenbaker of Cameron only sister. of the groom was matron-of-honor. Mrs. Carey Tison, and Mrs.

Walter Inabinet Jr. both of Columbia were bridesmaids. They all wore nile green net over taffeta fashioned along similar lines as that of the bride and wore matching mitts and bonnets of nile green tied under the chin. The -honor carried crescent shaped bouquet of yellow gladiola with matching ribbon and the matron of honor carried light pink gladiola with matching ribbon. The bridesmaids carried arm bouquets that were crescented shaped of deep pink gladioli with corresponding ribbon.

Walter Judson Stoudemire, father of the groom, was best man. Mr. Vincent Cox and Mrs. Dodderidge Buie Jr. both of Denmark were usher groomsmen.

Mrs. Bell, mother of the bride. wore dress of aqua crepe with a corsage of tube roses with a lavender orchid. Mrs. Stoudemire, mother of the groom, wore a dress of rose crepe with a corsage of tube roses with a lavender orchid.

Andrew Stroman Jr. During the evening the young couple left for 8 wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina and Carolina Beach and after July 1 will be at home at the Hydrick Apartments on Elliott strect. For traveling the bride chose a Navy faille two piece suit trimmed in white with which she wore a Navy straw hat and a other Navy accessories. Stoudemire is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farmer Bell (Mertiles Board) of Bowman. She attended the Bowman schools was graduated from Wincollege. For the past two has been a popular the city elementary schools Sumter.

Mr. Stoodemire is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J.

Stoudemire (Ellen Erdrick) of the Bellevile road. He attended Clemcollege prior to serving in the U. S. Army for three years of which 18 months were spent overseas. After the war he reentered Clemson where he was graduated.

He is now associated with the city schools here. HERE FROM FLORIDA Mrs. John P. Moseley and Mr. J.

P. Moseley Jr. of Hollywood, Florida arrived Sunday to viist at their home on ton street. Mrs. J.

P. "Moseley Jr. accompanied them here and left from Columbia on Sunday night to be with her father who is ill in Youngstown, Ohio. Mrs. Moseley Jr.

Virginia Smoak Edgemon of near Cordova. He served in the U. S. for five years. of which were spent overseas.

He spent a year in Iceland. He now employed at the U. S. Plywood Corp. in Orangeburg.

Varied summer flowers in artistic arrangements were used most effectively throughout the Louise Boone Jr. Feted With Delightful Party and Tommy Sheriff, HOME FROM FOLLY Louie Boone was honored on Saturday night at "Uncle Tom's Cabin" with a delightful farewell party given by Misses Reka Rich, Sylvia Summers, Har" riett Wactor and Carolyn Way. Louie will leave soon for West Point and so the usual gang of friends of high school days were invited for a last 'get together' before he left.
