IN MEMORIAM In Loving Memory of DEACON SILAS ADGERSON who departed this life 21 years ago today, February 23, 1972. "You will always be missed." The Adgerson and Seabrooks Families Continued from Page 1B "Apparently the victim and his brother were arguing and the brother stabbed him in the upper left side.

He was transported to the hospital," Smith said. "The younger brother was arrested for criminal domestic vio; lence. But that charge will probably be upgraded to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature," Smith said. Furman Ray was still being held Monday evening on a bond of $249 cash or $500 surety, Gordon said. In yet another family incident in which no arrest has been made an 18-year-old was shot in the upper right leg at about 3:22 p.m.

Saturday. EMS called deputies to The Regional Medical Center emergency room. "(The man) is claiming that it was an accident. He said that he and his brother were playing with a shotgun and that it went off. But, our investigation is continuing," Smith said.

A hospital spokesman said the brother was admitted Saturday afternoon and is now listed in good condition. In another incident of violence, a 31-year-old man walking down Stilton Road Sunday at 10 p.m. claimed he was assaulted and robbed. The man said two unknown subjects approached him and one of them struck him with a piece of board, knocking him to the ground. The assailants then robbed him of $170 cash and fled on foot.

"The victim described the men as black males, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-6, 160 pounds. One was wearing acid-washed jeans and a black jacket. The victim gave the same physical description of both men, but gave a clothing description for only one of them," Smith said. A TRMC spokesman said the strong-arm robbery victim came to the hospital Sunday morning, where he was treated for an injury to the right wrist and shoulder and was released. Two calls involving children included one report of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and one report of child neglect both of which are being investigated, according to the sheriff.

"In the first case, a deputy responded to the TRMC emergency room, where a Norway area mother had taken her 6-year-old son Sunday morning after the child reported being sexually abused," Smith said. The child described to officers an account of being sodomized by a family member. And, a doctor at TRMC's emergency room called the sheriff's office shortly after midnight Monday to seek help in getting a 6-monthold baby from Roosevelt Gardens Apartments to the hospital. "We got a call from a doctor at the emergency room about. a 6- month-old baby who sick at home alone by its 20-year-old mother.

The baby's uncle assisted the Sheriff's Office in getting the baby out of the house and to the hospital. The baby was admitted to the hospital and is in protective custody because of neglect," Smith said. Among numerous burglaries this weekend were the break-in at a local convenience store and the theft of $34,900 worth of jewelry and guns from a local residence. "We responded to an alarm at the Express Lane convenience store on the Charleston Road at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday and found that someone had broken into the store through the side wall and took approximately $200 in cash.

The canine unit was called in and tracked the subject several hundred yards to where it looks like he was picked up in a vehicle," Smith said. Damage to the building was estimated at $160. At a home on Mimosa Street sometime between Friday night and 2:50 p.m. Saturday, someone broke in through the back door of the residence and took a large amount of jewelry, a shotgun and a rifle, the sheriff said. He said the homeowner listed the amount of jewelry missing as $33,800 and said the guns were worth a total of $1,150.

Other weekend arrests included: two fraudulent check arrests, one first offense DUI, two public disorderly conduct, one trespassing after a warning and one criminal domestic violence all magistrate court cases.
